Work Portfolio
SignifEvents, London / January 2007 to date
Events Developer
Signifevents helps Not-for-Profit and charitable organizations build awareness, raise funds and increase success by organizing accessible events with major artists. My duties are to conceptualize and set up events using musicians. I manage the whole event directly, or, work with event organizers charities already use. During the past 12 months, I have developed a client base, formed a partnership network (nine partners to date) that includes promoters, merchandisers, web developers, international agents for artists and production crew. We have booked artists for Get up, Stand up at the Leftfield Stage, Glastonbury 2008 and For their event programme at the Blazing Saddles Stage, Glastonbury 2009. We are working with the Weapons of Mass Destruction programme to raise awareness for their work through various events. This film footage below is from Peace of Art which was held in London, November 2008.
Mr Shoe Ltd, London / January 2006 – January 2007
Artist Manager
After leaving Poptones, I started working with artists from West London. I developed Big Roe Music Management for Big Roe. I structured his management so that he was in complete control of his business affairs and I acted as his advisor. I organized the release strategy of his EP which was recorded in West London and Big Roe was featured in a MTV Base series about up and coming talent from London.
After fulfilling my role as his advisor, I worked with Anil Sood of Paradox Ltd, a drum and bass music company that has a record shop, a small label and runs drum and bass events every month along the south coast of the UK. Using my contacts in India, we went to Mumbai to network with the Music and Film industry researching potential business opportunities to create a bridge between the UK dance scene and the growing international music scene of India.
